It was the predecessor of the P40 so didn't see much action with the USAAC
performing many roles as a nuclear strike aircraft
The Canberra took its place in the early 1950's after 10 years of extraordinary service
Anson - T-shirt Mach Loop In 2006 VFC-13 took onAvro Anson The Anson entered service with the RAF in 1936, primarily as a trainer and other roles from airborne early warning to taxiing ferry pilots for the British Air Transport Auxiliary. The Anson was also used by the Fleet Air Arm, Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force. The Anson remained in service with the RAF right up until 1968.
