The shock stay is the tower the upper ends of both rear shocks bolt to, which makes it the anchor for the entire rear damping system. Its rigidity has a direct effect on how the shocks behave. A stay that flexes absorbs part of every damping input before it reaches the chassis, and worse, it can let the two shocks work at slightly different rates side to
