Definitely it is Wabanaki (Northeast Native American, encompassing MicMac, Penobscot and Passamaquoddy tribes) and I believe it is MicMac specifically, native to Canada's Atlantic Provinces and the Gasp Peninsula of Quebec as well as the northeastern region of Maine.
