The difference between the Patchwork 1 4 inch foot versus the one with the little black guide on the side, is that this one has the additional guide for patchwork and the 1 4" seam is based on the right edge of the front toe perfectly in line for a 1 4" seam throughout your entire project. This foot also has two red marked guides perpendicular to the seam being stitched. LOW SHANK: fits the
