Ovaries of a kangaroo Size:Large: 7 x 5in Pictured during interview at ThePlate 16 from the paper 'On the ova of the different tribes of Opossum and Ornithorhynchus', by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 109 (1819), pp. 234 240. The five figures show the ovaries and corpora lutea of young and old kangaroos. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left 'Franz Bauer del.'
