Germany, Ss. A Waffen-Ss Em/Nco’s M40 Overseas Cap consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac original factory machine stitching is(Waffen SS Schiffchen M40). A very well preserved Waffen SS EM NCOs M40 overseas cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side panels which slope toward the front, and are reinforced along the upper edge with dual rows of machine stitching. The peak bears the outline of an SS style German national eagle insignia which has since been removed, while directly below are the traces of a Totenkopf formerly adorning the
