An Other Ranks Royal North West Mounted Police Field Service Jacket, c.1917 Auction marked on reverse "AUGIS LYON"Introduced in 1917 to align with the style of functionality of military dress prevalent at the time, the khaki duck field service jacket was primarily worn in warmer months from its introduction into the 1920's. Manufactured in a heavy, durable reddish brown khaki, it features four front pockets with the bottom pockets with lightly scalloped flaps and issued without buttons. The upper pockets are pleated and sealed with brass, unmarked kings crown
