Constructed of silvered bronze; the obverse depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons superimposed on a cross; the reverse inscribed Medaille fr Deutsche Volkspflege (Medal for German Social Welfare); on a loop for suspension from its correct ribbon; measuring 38. 0 mm in diameter; ring maker marked "108" ( for Rudolf Wurzer), in overall very fine condition.
