Constructed of gilt tombac; the obverse in the form of a horizontal oval laurel wreath, with a national eagle placed on top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, and a submarine in the center of the badge; the reverse plain, with a vertical slender banjo style pinback and a functional hinge catch assembly; unmarked, but displaying the typical manufacturing characteristics of Schwerin of Berlin; measuring 48. 26 mm (w) x
