Bavaria, Kingdom. A Pilot’s Badge, C.1925 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac 118 machine guns(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie ribbon, topped by a Bavarian crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the reverse with a vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 46. 13 mm (w) x 73. 78 mm (h), weighing 11. 4 grams, in extremely fine condition.
