Afghanistan Medal, 1878-1880 - 72Nd Highlanders Archive maker marked "N3 Clasps CHARASIA, KABUL, KANDAHAR (58B 803 PTE. J. LAMONT. 72ND HIGHRS). Naming is officially engraved in italic capitals. Very crisp detail, high relief, bright patina, minor contact marks, extremely fine. Accompanied by copies of the Roll of NCOs eligible for the Afghainstan Medal, plus copies of Pay Lists for the 58th Infantry Brigade at Sterling (1876), the 72nd Foot at Lucknow (1881) and the Seaforth Highlanders at Parkhurst (1882).
