Prussia, Kingdom. A Warrior Merit Medal, C.1895 Newly Listed threading and stitching holes evident(Krieger Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1873 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, unmarked, measuring 25. 48 mm in diameter, weighing 6. 9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
