Mehmed IV, Ottoman Emperor Finish:20-pack Kellogg is best known forMehmed IV, Ottoman Emperor, (1808). Mehmed (1642 1693) was Sultan from 1648 until 1687. He came to the throne at the age of seven, succeeding his father, the mentally unstable Ibrahim I, who had been deposed in a coup. Mehmed's reign was significant as it was he who transferred many of the Sultan's executive powers to the Grand Vizier.
