Abel is shown in a jacket and waistcoat, a white shirt with tie and a prominent watch chain. His hair and prominent side whiskers are white with age. Printed below the image: 'MAULL & FOX, 187a PICCADILLY, LONDON. The reverse has various inscriptions including the photograph number, '186141'.
