Renate Scheer Kalkofen Mid-Century Ab Ex Print "Still Life," 1962, ed. 5, Purples old porcelain enamel street sign Executed in ink or aThere is not a whole lot out there about Renate Scheer Kalkofen (1935 2013) who created this stunner of a print in 1962, as well as several others I am listing from around the same time. I do know she was a graduate of Tufts University and spent much of her life in the nearby Boston suburb of Belmont, where there are records of her exhibiting from the 1960s and 70s all the way through 2011. And I know from the dealer I purchased the prints from that
