lemon grass and acacia blossom precede highly energetic and more mineral-driven if less concentrated and powerful middle weight flavors that possess a highly refined and sophisticated texture
Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting
Robert Chevillon, Nuits Saint Georges Ronciere Vintage:2013 20% Mourvedre(45 year old vines). Here the lateness of the malos is in evidence as the nose is almost raw with traces of fermentation aromas and reduction though the medium plus weight flavors are detailed, racy and offer more minerality than usual. I tried this from several different barrels, including one from a new barrel that was further developed and the material is impressive and its possible that my score could be conservative.
