I've got a special weakness for renderings of children with their beloved pets

On one edge of the page our subject is so intently writing upon is printed "Salvation Army" perhaps the joke here being that the soul of our Y. L Abercrombie was in need of saving?!! In any event, I love his focused intensity (and bald head, and especially his hands), with glasses folded to one side in favor of hunching over the paper as he writes, ink bottle nearby. 6 7 8" x 4 1 8" and in good condition, with minor toning,
