Swedish Antique Hand-painted Wooden "Love Spoons" - A Pair pottery fish platter It measures 4 5/8" tallI've seen these old carved and painted antique Swedish spoons referred to as "love spoons" or "love tokens," I believe because of the little "ball in cage" whimsies at the end of their handles. They're certainly very sweet and nicely done indeed, one can definitely feel the love and care of their maker! I believe these date from the late 19th or very early 20th century. The wood of the slightly larger of the pair is darker and redder than the other,
