The lid does not slide on and off but rather just sits flat and flush on top

I think the only thing that could make this better would be a blimp flying overhead

10 1/8 x 2 and in good antique condition

And the density and energy of all that fine black ink mark-making really does it for me

Two drawers below with original wooden handles, and scalloped edges along the bottom. Feels Shaker meets tramp art to me,
