Chateau Le Puy "Emilien", 2017 Washington delight in its understated elegance11th generation estate. Unique red clay soil. Biodynamic since inception. Mostly Merlot, with Cabernet Franc Fermented in concrete vat, 2 3 weeks with indigenous yeasts. Aged 12 months in century old 50 HL barrel, followed by 12 months in 228L barrel (no new wood). From Rosenthal: Emilien : Composed of 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Carmenre. It spends a year in 50hl foudres before a year in 228L barrel. Its approach is silky from the fine
