pepper and earthy notes
with sharp tannins on the finish
This behemoth demands 8-10 years of cellaring but should ultimately reward patient cellaring in a big way

Quintarelli, Valpolicella Classico Superiore Vintage:2011 pepper and earthy notesThe 2003 is an unusually bold, ripe version of the Valpolicella Classico Superiore. Black cherries, plums, mocha and spices all flesh out in this exuberant wine. The warmth of the vintage is felt in the wines contours and early appeal. My suggestion is to drink the 2003 over the next few years. As always, the style is a bit eccentric, as the 2003 spent a good six years in cask. Antonio Galloni
