A bit of research reveals that it is in fact a Victorian era invalid carriage --I've included an advertisement from the 1890s featuring one very similar

and love the intricacy of the wooden masts and yards

And indeed it would have been--traditionally used in a wedding ceremony

The olive and brown stone of the marble one is really beautiful, and I especially love the gilding to the "pages" of the larger wood one.
