Columbia's Fix english opera group the fashionable crinoline'Columbia's Fix', 1861. Columbia, representing the United States, sits overlooking the ocean. To her breast she holds the dove of peace, with the olive twig in its beak. On her wrist is the menacing eagle of war representing the American Civil War.
