Pilgrim Jon Carved supposedly carried the chair to Plymouth on the Mayflower ship in 1620
5 1/16” t x 1 5/16” d and in good vintage condition
as its maker saw an alligator in there just waiting to be coaxed out
showing now as a lovely soft purple-blue

One is a rooster, the other a hen, and so a pair of barnyard lovebirds! Double sided, with watercolored combs and wattles and claws, and graphite drawn eyes and beaks. Most definitely frame worth. Measured on the square: Rooster: 5 1 8" l x 4" t. Hen: 4" x 4". Sold as a pair. Small loss to the front claw of
