Young Woman and her Loving Dog, Antique Naive Watercolor victorian ladies brush and I must say IWhat a pair these two make! I really love the treatment of the fur on this very sweet pup, very much in the manner of Spencerian calligraphy. And then the wonderful, open face of its human companion, upon whose knee the dogs paw so gently rests. How not to feel happy looking at this? what a bond!! 6 5 8 x 5. Late 19th c. I believe. Overall good condition, with some scattered smudges and toning, and another graphite drawing on reverse.
