I have seen a few other San Pacific ceramic vases from the 70s-80s

and since cicadas are symbols of  personal renewal and transformation

Marvelous Antique Puppet with Carved, Painted Wooden Head on Post stony I believe the wood isI've always got an eye out for great puppets, but rarely come across one I like as much as this guy, I'm guessing from a Punch and Judy set, early 20th century or so. What a beauty of a face, with this prominent nose, open mouth, and huge eyes, looking a mix of surprised and anxious, as if about to have to fend off something or someone! His carved wooden head is attached to a wooden post, which is covered by his hand sewn outfit, terminating in
