Description
The placement of those eyes at the far sides of the yellow triangles is really excellent too
and the bust in nicely aged
I really love this painting
making it a nice one to place on a high shelf--which is exactly where I spotted this one and ran straight for it
19th C. Naive Drawing of Horse Drawn Carriage in Period Frame quilt square The placement of those eyesI found this sweet mid 19th century graphite and watercolor of a horse drawn carriage in Upstate New York last week, probably not all that far from whence it came. Looks top me like the driven in his bright blue suit and top hat is enjoying himself, while the horse, with blinders on, trots along dutifully. I especially like the bright yellow accents on wheels and the horse's harness. Charming. In the period gold over gesso frame I found it in. 6 1 4"
