Description
The tops feature square recesses on one end and positives of the same on the other
but I believe this one was just made as a tiny doll just as is
) I believe this one likely dates to the early 20th century
Sadly the dead insects are long gone from this old wooden box
DISOIPLINE (The Doctrines and Discipline of the Methodist Episcopal Church), 1888 hollow cut silhouette The tops feature square recessesThe first picture tells the entire story of why I bought this and why I love it the perfect articulation of throwing discipline or, perhaps even more so, doctrine to the wind! The leather fold over cover is pretty beaten and torn, but the book inside is actually in quite good shape, and there are some energetic scribbles on the several pages too. But if it were me, I'd find a good spot for it to just leave it spread open to that first page: perfect. 5
