Lovely Small Carved Swan with Rotating Neck Signed darning sampler 6 7/8” x 9 1/2”It is particularly the very elongated, undulating form of this swan's head and beak that really makes it special to me, giving it a sense of kinship with my favorite root head decoys. I also like that the neck was done as a separate piece, allowing this swan to crane its neck in various directions! Signed MW on the underside, which has not lead me to its maker, but whoever it was certainly knew what they were doing. Lovely. 6 3 4" l x 4 1 4" t x 3 5
