These relief elements are amplified by a sort of a bronze finish
except that I believe she studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and received her BFA in Painting from Mass College of Art
for example) and also reminds me a bit of the work of Edwin and Mary Scheier
Trench Art Bullet Knife, 1932 lithograph poster I've learned that it wasI really love the long, arching shape of the blade on this old trench art knife, with it's handle made from the casing of a 50 caliber FA 1932 bullet. It's more of a decorative object than a useable one at this point though, as the blade, which has rusted a fair amount, is a bit loose inside the casing (if one really tried, you might be able to pull it out entirely.) The very tip of the blade, too, shows a little damage, and the shell casing is bent
