The 'blew gross-beak' and the 'sweet flowring bay' Size:XS: 40 x 30cm 'The Description of the Machine'Coccothraustes caerulea', the blew gross beak, and 'Magnolia lauri folio, subtus albicante', the sweet flowring bay (Catesby's identifications; modern scientific names: Passerina caerulea, the blue grosbeak; Magnolia virginiana, the sweetbay magnolia).
