Ink Drawing on Watermarked Lined Paper, Fred Scruton, Beverly MA indian watercolor and because I think everyoneI went to Cohoes, NY to find this one, but it originated in my neck of the woods, on the North Shore of Boston, in Beverly NY. Reminds me in many ways of Spencerian calligraphic drawings, but folkier, and I especially love the handling of the jockey's face, with all those tiny ink dots making it look almost as if he were wearing a mask or that much of his face were covered in stubble, which lends a bit of eeriness to the drawing in an interesting sort
