Description
This is very good and should amply reward mid-term cellaring
Here too there are soft floral hints to the overtly spicy aromas of red and dark currants
The 2014 Barolo le Vigne is bright and fruit-forward
Billaud noted that this would be bottled the week after I tasted it
Domaine Ponsot, Chambertin Vintage:2002 This is very good andfrom a tiny . 15 ha parcel of vines planted in 1961. Complex and wild red fruit aromas with plenty of earth, game and roasted coffee notes merge into tight, nicely pure, sappy and extremely intense flavors that are not especially concentrated but do offer exceptional persistence, all supported by refined and ripe tannins. This is the best Ponsot Chambertin in some years.
