Watercolor of Eagle with Arrows and Flower Chinese dragon not including woven hanging loopsI'm finding myself drawn to American eagles in all sorts of incarnations of late with a certain sense of urgency at least in good part for fear of their extinction! I find this naive eagle watercolor in shades of peach especially winning, with arrows tipped in what look like hearts held in one talon, and what looks like a tulip on stem in the other. 19th century, probably Pennsylvania.
