Description
Feels very Bauhaus era (I thought perhaps German or Austrian from a distance) but also very Japanese
and just right here with three children at different points all facing toward it
was born in 1877
between that giant dog and strange looking child and all that color and pattern
Adobe House and Aqua Sky, Charming c 1940s Oil on Canvas Folk Art Painting east village artist Feels very Bauhaus era (II wouldn't call this a masterpiece, but I really like it a welcome and very atmospheric counterpoint to New England y portraits of houses, and in a sandy cotton candy ish palette that feels true to the desert and to the 1940s or so, too. I also like that it is signed at lower left " LaVilla Perryman" which seems to me could be the name of the artist or could be the name of the house (La Villa Perryman)! 12" x 9" and in very good vintage condition, oil
