and 1 3/4 inches at base
This one was certainly made as a teaching toy for children
Art Deco-esque Old Iron Finial 1943 oil on cardboard and justThis finial seems likely not quite as old as the others I've listed, but I think still has a hundred years on it at least. It reminds me a lot of Art Deco ornaments, of Seattle's Space Needle, and of Kansas City's pylons, and also as if one should hold it up in a lightening storm to harness a bolt! It will stand up on its own, and will a hollow base could be used as a topper on all sorts of things. 7 3 4" long and in very good condition.
