I picked this one up yesterday in Northwood New Hampshire

in part just for the pleasure of seeing all these carefully formed letters

Antique Pennsylvania Folk Art Mirror with Painted Bird 1925 american legion medal ) Really a lovely deckEverything about this mirror with bird (original to it) is a a little wonky, which is much of what I love about it! The carved and polychromed bird veers just a hair to one side (which seems to be how it was made) and shows paint loss in a couple of spots, and the mirror is all kinds of aged all of which adds up to a thing with, to my eye, a whole lot of charm and personality. I know this was found in Pennsylvania and looks Pennsylvania German to me.
