There is something so heartening to me about strongly identifying with the subjects of drawings and paintings and objects made many years ago--as much as things have changed

with "The heavens declare the glory of God" written in beautiful script on the reverse--counterpointing the lair of the dragon

Mickey Mouse in Plaid Shorts with Banjo-- c. 1940s-50s Ink, Graphite and Crayon Drawing (Copy) wood and lead a few scattered lost stitchesI'm not especially big on Mickey Mouse, but I like the spirit and attitude of this drawing, with Mickey looking more laid back than manic in plaid shorts and booties, picking his banjo! 7 1 8" x 4 13 16". Graphite and colored pencil crayon on thinnish paper, with a few stains and loss to the upper right corner as evident.
