1990 J.B. Becker Wallufer Berg Bildstock Riesling Spatlese Trocken, Rheingau, Germany Fortaleza The boundaries of this vineyardThis golden, powerfully dry wine has arrived from the estate as a libary wine. From vines planted on stony, gravelly soils of the Wallufer Berg Bildstock slope (southern Rheingau), the 1990 vintage was hand harvested at Sptlese ripeness before pressing and slow fermentation to dryness. The must was fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured on its lees in large German oak casks for about 1012 months before bottling.
