2018 Domaine Robert Chevillon Les Chaignots, Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru, France Tokaj and it amazingly shows bothFrom the northern sector of Nuits, bordering Vosne, Les Chaignots sits on thin, limestone rich marls that give a more floral, lifted expression of the appellation. The 2018 was hand harvested and mostly destemmed, then fermented with native yeasts in tank using gentle pump overs and light punch downs to keep tannins fine, before ~18 months levage in barrels with a restrained touch of new oak. It is ripe yet poisedred and black cherry, violet, and
