2023 Insula Vinus Chao de Lava aa Branco Azores, Portugal Germany Soil: graniteThe Cho de Lava is a blend of traditional varieties of the Azores, mostly Arinto dos Aores and Verdelho, but also small quantities of other things from older field blended vineyards such as Maria Gomes and Boal. The fruit comes from both Paulo's vineyards on the southern side of the mountain in So Mateus and from old vines along the western coast in Crioo Velha. Fermented and aged sur lies in small horizontal stainless steel tanks for about one year.
