2022 Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc 'Le Bourg' Breze Loire, France VB Event 11.02.23 of Thorne & DaughtersVariety: Chenin Blanc Size: 1. 07 ha (2. 64 ac) Vine Age: Planted in the early 1940s Terroir: From a single vineyard below the Clos des Carmes, sandy clay soil over a soft limestone bedrock. Viticulture: Certified organic (AB, 2007), 5,500 vines ha, maximum yield of 45 hl ha. Vinification: Sorted in the vineyard, pressed with whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation, blocked malolactic conversion, aged for 11 12 months in used barrels, filtered.
